Waawaaskone Giizis, Flower Moon (May) 'Spirit of the Land' is a series of oil paintings that is inspired by the rich ancestry and lived experience of the artist. This body of work celebrates an Indigenous (Ojibway) traditional worldview and a spiritual connection to Mother Earth. Furthermore, the series invites the viewer to connect to the work from one's own unique perspectives and experiences of the natural world.
