Opening reception: February 5th 6-9pm
Laura’s paintings use colour and various layering techniques to explore the aesthetic qualities of urban landscapes as they are distorted through a digital lens. Captured in motion, the city lights become objects. They are a presence in the fragmented and distorted cityscapes. Background and foreground detail is often blurred, removing figures and the identity of the location, creating an uncanny feeling of being everywhere and nowhere simultaneously. www.lauraharrison.ca
