The diversity of Jane’s current exhibit reflects her dysfunctional but joyous approach to creating with whatever is at hand. Imagination is an integral part of Jane’s life; it’s what motivates the fascination she has with capturing a memory and giving it a tangible existence through art.

She sees leaves caught in a whirlpool and it becomes the inspiration for the glazing of a ceramic bowl. The death of an armadillo, run over in traffic compels her to tell it’s sad story using collagraphic printmaking. Time spent under a willow tree next to a lily pond, these tranquil moments translate into a vibrant acrylic painting.

Self-taught, Jane has worked in textiles, ceramics, printmaking, pen and ink, oils, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media.

She invites you to come and enjoy dysfunctional at Kloepfer Gallery during regular hours, but would especially love to visit with you at either of the receptions she is hosting during this exhibition.
